Some suggested sites for parents:

So I’ve decided that it would be a good idea to have a post now and then written for specific people. So this post is for anyone who is a parent, and needs some good web resources on youth, culture, and stuff like that. Feel free to add more great suggestions in the comments!

www.cpyu.org –  It stands for the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding. I’ve used this one for years, especially when I was a youth pastor. It gives great articles, studies, statistics, and links to relevant websites for anyone to help understand young people. Check it out!

Preview Online –  A Christian moview review site that I’ve used for years. While I don’t always aggree with the critics, they give detailed descriptions of almost all the new movies that come out. Parents…scratch that…everyone should know what they are getting themselves into before they go and watch a movie. A great place to get a take on the moral and spiritual content, while also getting a critic’s take on the entertainment value.

Pluggedinonline.com –  Another Christian website that looks at all parts of the entertainment industry. There are write-ups on movies, television, music, and games. I tend to think the movie section is done the best, but you can find some good stuff throughout the site.

Relevant magazine -  I haven’t used this site much, but they do have some good stuff on youth culture. This site is geared more towards the College and Career type age bracket, but is still applicable to teens.

Also, if you’re interested in finding out other websites and blogs I visit to stay educated, informed, and entertained, check out my post called Some of the blogs I view.

Have a great day!
