#262. I love Red Rock blueberries.
I didn’t think we’d be enjoying many of these blueberries this summer. One evening when the other 2 camp families were going blueberry picking, Anika begged for us to go, too. I told her that we couldn’t, because Kaylia wasn’t even 2 months old yet, and blueberry picking was very far down on my list of priorities. She was very disappointed about having to stay home, so I told her, “You prayed for a baby sister. You did not pray for blueberries.” And she said with a pout, “I’d rather have blueberries!” (Fortunately this is the only time she has ever said anything negative about having a baby sister!)
To Anika’s great delight, the next day Trevor and Terra-Lee and their family came to our door with a big freezer bag full of blueberries! We enjoyed them extremely much, and got the best of both worlds – a baby and Red Rock blueberries.

And thank goodness for Grandma, who took Anika blueberry picking with her cousin!
